Bad news for Californians

Bad news for Californians is that Senator Lou Correa has announced that he is pulling the bill for legalisation of online poker for this year due to time constraints. The powers that be, have once more dodged this hot potato and for the last six years, so interested parties will have to wait for 2015 to see what progress if any will happen.

p. On the upside however, Jones-Sawyer already has plans afoot to introduce a new bill for the advancement of iPoker in December and will be working hard to find compromises that all parties can agree on and pave the way for legalisation.

All eyes are on New Jersey to see the development in the market with Poker Stars now that they are operating under the Amaya group. It is believed that it will be a mere formality for them to be issued a license for New Jersey, and because of Amayas working relationship with the tribes, they will be more amenable to compromise and seek to get approval for online poker in California in 2015.
